Brit Builds a Ferrari F430 Scuderia Replica Out of a Ford Cougar

Who would have thought that the Ford Cougar, known as the last generation Mercury Cougar in North America, would prove so popular with the replica crowd?

After a couple of Bugatti Veyron 16.4s and an Audi R8, we have now unearthed a Ferrari F430 Scuderia clone based on a low-mileage Cougar coupe V6.

This Ferrari F430 Replica was Built Out of a Toyota Celica

Without doubt, the Pontiac Fiero is king when it comes to donor vehicles for replicas, but once in a very blue moon, we stumble upon exotic lookalikes that are not based on GM's mid-engined sports car.

Like this Ferrari F430 clone listed for sale in Canada. The Bianco-Fuji-colored (sic…) Maranello-wannabe is built around the seventh and last generation of Toyota's Celica sports coupe series.

Foamed: Carnival Teens Attack Ferrari F430 Spider in Brazil

It’s always a good idea to stay far, far away from a crowd of frantic people, be you on foot or in your car. Even more so, if you're driving an exotic ride like a Ferrari F430 Spider.

This incident allegedly occurred in Brazil during a local (?) carnival. While driving on the street, the owner of the Prancing Horse supercar was suddenly surrounded by a mob of frantic kids and teens running around with foam sprays, which of course, they used on the Ferrari…

If you watch the clip until the end, you'll see a wiser driver of a white Porsche Panamera making a hasty U-turn to avoid the foamy fate of the F430 Spider. Video follows right after the break.

Can You Believe Both Passengers Made it out Alive from this Horrific Ferrari F430 Crash?

A fairly new Ferrari F430 was cut in half and burned to the ground in a shocking accident that took place earlier today in a suburb of Athens, Greece. If you take a look at what is left from the grey-colored Italian supercar, you'd be hard pressed to believe that anyone made it out alive from the accident.

Yet from some sort of miracle, coincidence or perhaps divine intervention, both the driver and passenger were saved – though they did suffer some injuries.

A report from local news site Vimaonline, said that the man driving the Ferrari and whom we see injured in the video, is ship owner I. Leontiadis.

Eyewitnesses said that Leontiadis was driving too fast for the conditions of the wet road in Vouliagmeni and at some point lost control of the F430 smashing into a tree on the median. The crash was so severe that the Ferrari broke in two.

Ferrari’s Mugello Party: Mega Gallery with 150 Photos and Video

Question: what’s better than a Ferrari 458 Italia? Well, for starters a whole bunch of 458s, along with racing 430s and 458s from the North American, European, Italian and Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, all in one place, the Mugello circuit.

Would that be enough to draw 10,000 spectators from around the world? Perhaps not and that’s why the 2011 Finali Mondiali Ferrari event that was hosted last weekend for the 19th time, had much more to offer to the Tifosi.

Video: Two Girls, a Red Ferrari F430, a Mediocre Parking Job

It's become something of spectator sport over in Europe and chiefly in London: people equipped with a handy cam waiting for a hot car to pass by to record it and upload the video on Youtube.

As with anything else in life, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it does not and our amateur producers are left with a bitter taste in the mouth.

Fail: Cop Impounds Ferrari but Doesn’t Know How to Start it Up….

A British police officer trying to impound a Ferrari F430 Spider (probably somewhere in London) was caught on film by a by-passer having a hard time figuring out how to start up the exotic Italian supercar.

Too bad for us but...luckily for him, the man behind the video camera was nice enough to point out the shiny red ‘ENGINE START’ button on the steering wheel (honestly, how can you miss it?). Watch the amusing clip after the jump.

Eyewitness Update on the Ferrari F430 Spider vs Taxi Cab Incident

Yesterday, we told you about a recent Las Vegas incident involving the drivers of a Ferrari F430 Spider and a yellow taxicab. In our original story, we wrote that the cabbie “allegedly rear-ended” the Italian exotic. It turns out though that there was no collision between the two cars with the Ferrari driver exploding simply because the cabbie cut him off.

Patrick Fritz, the person who filmed the video outside of Fry's Electronics, came in contact with Carscoop and detailed the events that eventually led to the Ferrari driver punching the cabbie.

Here’s what Patrick told Carscoop:

“I saw this altercation from the very beginning. The Ferrari was trying to leave the Fry's Electronics parking lot as the Taxi driver pulled in front of him, cutting him off. The Ferrari driver was pissed that he got cut off. There was NO collision.

The Ferrari driver then peeled out as he drove up past the cab and stopped in front of him and began yelling at him for "driving like an a$$hole". Then the Ferrari driver got out of his vehicle and approached the cab driver. That's the beginning of the video.”

Ferrari F430 Spider Owner Attacks Cab Driver for Cutting Him Off [*Updated]

A sad tale of road rage between the driver of a red Ferrari F430 Spider and a Taxi Cab driver took place in front of the parking lot of an electronics store in Las Vegas recently.

Story has it that the cabbie allegedly rear-ended the Italian supercar, but did not cause any significant damage to the vehicle – or at least non that can be seen in this amateur video that was filmed after the two cars parked on the side of the road.

Unfortunately, instead of exchanging information, the driver of the Ferrari was in the mood for some talking with his…fists. We can’t hear all that was said between the two men, but it looks like the only person going overboard here was the F430 driver. Watch the video right after the break.

Toyota Corolla vs Ferrari F430: Can You Guess Who Wins this Race?

Pitting a puny stock Toyota Corolla against a Ferrari F430 and asking which car would win in a straight line race sounds like a joke, right? Well, under any other circumstances, you would be right to take this as a shaggy dog story but this comparo, which was made for a Japanese TV show, has a peculiar twist to it: the race was run in reverse gear… So, now that you know, can you pick the winner? Enjoy the quirky drag race between the Corolla sedan and Maranello’s supercar in the video clip after the break.

Yes, it’s another drift video, but who’s complaining, especially when the protagonist is a Ferrari F430 Scuderia? Laurence Gartel Turns Ferrari F430 Scuderia into a Rolling Piece of Art

Would you turn a supercar into a piece of art? Well, the answer to that question really depends on your definition of art. For some, a Ferrari F430 Scuderia is already a piece of art on its own, but for Laurence Gartel, this translates to a psychedelic looking vinyl wrap designed on a computer.

It Came from eBay Hell: Toyota Celica-Based Ferrari F430 Replica

There are probably more Pontiac Fiero-based imitations in the world than real Ferraris. Today, though, we have something a little different. No, it is not a Pontiac Fiero-based Lamborghini Miura (we have already had one of them), it is a Toyota Celica that has been transformed into a passable F430 replica.

Did I say passable? Well, only just. From the front, it looks okay, with the hood, headlights and A-pillar being sufficiently F430-like. As you move back, however, it all starts to unwind. The awkward side window treatment, slab-sided rear flanks and the shape of the rear windscreen just seem wrong. Though you can’t expect much from trying to transform a front-engined, front wheel drive Japanese coupe in a mid engine, rear wheel drive Italian exotic.

James Glickenhaus’ Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Starts Taking Shape

In 2006, American car collector James Glickenhaus took the world by surprise with his Enzo-based one-off Ferrari P4/5, built by Pininfarina. In the meantime, Mr. Glickenhaus decided to build a race version, too, dubbed P4/5 Competizione, which, initially, was scheduled to make its racing debut at this year’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Unfortunately, that never happened.

However, we're happy to report that the build is still underway. And there’s more: thanks to an update on a dedicated Facebook page, we can show you pictures depicting key moments of the assembly, available after the jump.
