2014 Kia Sorento Crossover's Updated Looks are a Secret No More

The refreshed for the 2014 model year Kia Sorento has been inadvertently revealed early as a completely undisguised model was photographed (allegedly) in its home market of South Korea.

The obvious bodywork changes concern the redesigned fascia with new headlights sporting "eyebrow" accents on top, a wider upper grille that now extends to the lights and a new front bumper with different air vents and upright fog lamps.

Spied: Kia Drops the Camouflage on the 2014 Sorento's Lights

Just last week, we showed you a revealing spy picture sourced from South Korea that spoiled Kia's surprise for the front-end styling of the revamped 2014 Sorento.

Now, our scoop photographers completed one more piece of the puzzle by nabbing a new prototype of the crossover without any camouflage disrupting our view of the newly designed tail lamps (or the headlamps, for that matter).

Is the New Face of the 2014 Kia Sorento Crossover?

While Kia engineers continue to test the 2014 model year Sorento Crossover in Germany at the Nürburgring and in other parts of the world under fairly heavy camouflage, the team over at Kia-World tipped us off about a single scoop image they obtained of the car undisguised. Read more »

Scoop: 2014 Kia Sorento Crossover to get a Styling Update

For the second time this year, our spy shooters have caught up with a prototype of the facelifted Kia Sorento crossover, which will likely be badged as a 2014 model in North America and a 2013 model in Europe and other parts of the world.

Interestingly, this latest prototype features more styling changes than the previous model we scooped.

Kia's K9 Rear-Wheel Drive Flagship Spotted in California, is U.S. Debut Imminent?

Despite the fact that Kia Motors' U.S. executives are avoiding to say whether the company's brand new K9 flagship model will come to the States, we all know that the Korean company would not develop a premium sedan model without planning to sell it in the world's biggest and most lucrative luxury car market.

Which is why we are not surprised that a Twitter user spotted the K9, which recently went on sale in South Korea, on an Orange County, California roadway.

Is this the First Official Sketch of the New 2012 Kia Pro_Cee'd Three-Door Hatch?

The next generation of Kia's five-door Cee'd and its estate sibling were only just introduced last week at the ongoing 82nd Geneva International Motor Show, but we already have what is claimed to be the first official rendering of the sportier looking Pro_Cee'd, courtesy of Kia-World.

The Pro_Cee'd is the three-door hatchback version of Kia's C-segment model and it's scheduled to launch in the European market within the next year, possibly making its debut at the Paris Motor Show this fall, though we wouldn't be surprised if Kia reveals the car at next year's Geneva event.

New Kia K9 Flagship Makes Another Appearance for the Camera

Most of you should know what the new Kia K9 looks by now (at least on the outside) after the release of the official shots earlier this week, but we've discovered two new videos of the Korean firm's promising new flagship sedan filmed on the road.

There's nothing new we can add to our previous post as Kia continues to have a tight hold on most information regarding the K9, including when and in which other markets outside its home country it plans to offer its first ever rear-wheel drive sedan.

SPIED: New Kia Cee'd Spawns an MPV to Take on the Citroen C4 Picasso and Ford C-MAX

The upcoming 82nd Geneva International Auto Salon will host the world premiere of the new generation Cee'd, which is Kia's entry in the oh-so popular European C-segment with competitors like the VW Golf and Toyota Auris.

However, the South Korean automaker's plans don't stop with the hatchback model as Kia has already begun testing a minivan version that will fight against the likes of the Renault Scenic.

Surprise! New Kia K9 RWD Flagship Sedan Filmed Completely Uncovered

The brass over at Kia Motors was only ready for us to see a handful of teaser sketches of its soon-to-be released, rear-wheel drive flagship sedan codenamed "KH", which most of you may know as the K9.

Of course, our spies were also able to snag some shots of a camouflaged prototype, but now, we have two videos of the actual production model without a hint of disguise, spotted on the road.

The two clips, which were probably filmed in South Korea (maybe our readers can help out here), reveal the K9 in all its glory - albeit in low-quality footage.

Kia hasn't published a lot of details yet, but it is reasonable to believe that the KH will share its platform architecture and mechanical hardware with the Hyundai Genesis. This means it could be offered with the same 3.8-liter V6, and 4.6-liter and 5.0-liter V8 engines as its Hyundai counterpart.

Spied: Kia Prepares Sorento Crossover for its First Makeover

Now in its third year of production, Kia's Sorento crossover is getting ready for its first mid-life facelift, possibly for the 2013 model year.

Judging by these spy pictures of a prototype model being trialed in Europe, we will see changes to the front fascia with newly designed headlamps featuring the very BMW-like "eyebrow" accents on top, as seen on recent Kia models such as the Cee'd hatchback, together with a tweaked grille and a new bumper design.

Spy Shots: New Kia K9 RWD Sedan Completes Tests, U.S. Rep says it's Still Evaluating Plans

Earlier today, Kia dropped the first official renderings of its new rear-wheel drive flagship sedan that will launch in the Korean market in the second quarter of 2012, and these are spy shots of the production model, codenamed "KH", that was captured while completing the test phase in northern Sweden.

Even though Kia is trying out the full-size sedan in Europe, the South Korean automaker made it clear in a press statement today that the flagship model is "not coming to mainland European markets or the UK".

SCOOP: Kia Readying a Facelift for the 2012 Soul

It appears that the Soul is the next vehicle in Kia’s list to receive an update. Caught here in testing in Germany by our spy photographers, the bagged-up ends do their job to hide the Soul’s stylistic upgrades with the only visible change being the redesigned exterior mirrors that house the turning lights.

However, it is expected that the Soul will take some cues from the new Picanto and Rio hatchbacks (both of which were revealed at the Geneva Motor Show) such as the pulled back headlamps and more pronounced bumpers. An interior rework may also be in the cards.

U Spy: New Kia Cadenza Sedan Spotted Again in California

An undisguised example of the new Kia Cadenza sedan has been spotted by a Cascoop reader rolling around in California for the second time since the beginning of the year. This one was caught by Sanjay Patel. "Saw this Kia Cadenza with Michigan plates going 55 North in Orange County, California," Sanjay told Carscoop.

The sleek looking sedan which is already on sale in South Korea as the K-7, is longer and wider than the Amanti it will replace. It is expected to be revealed this year in U.S.-spec with sales to follow before the end of 2011. In its home market, the K7/Cadenza is offered with three gasoline engines ranging in output from 165HP for the four-cylinder unit to 295HP for the 3.5 liter V6.

Carscoop Reader Spots New Kia Cadenza Filling up in California

It's been a little over a year since Kia lifted the wraps off its stylish replacement for the Amanti, called the K7 in South Korea and Cadenza in other countries, but we're still waiting for the firm's flagship sedan to show up in the USA. However if these (fuzzy) photos are anything to go by, Kia may be getting ready to launch the Cadenza onto the U.S. market.

SCOOP: 2012 Kia Rio Spotted out on the Road

Like sister company Hyundai, Kia is in the midst of a new-product blitz that started a little over a year ago. Since the second half of 2009, the South Korean automaker has refreshed its lineup with a slew of new models such as the Forte Koup, Cadenza sedan, Venga mini MPV, Sorento, Sportage and Optima sedan.

Now, following the announcement on the completely redesigned Picanto city car that will break cover at the Geneva Show, our spy photographers snapped the next new model to be added to Kia's range, the 2012 Rio subcompact, while testing in Germany.

2011 Kia Pro_cee'd Facelift Leaked Ahead of Geneva Salon Debut

Photos of the mildly refreshed Kia Pro_cee'd are making the internet rounds before the car's scheduled world premiere at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in early March. The most obvious visual changes concern the restyled front end that brings the three-door version of the European market Cee'd more in line with Kia's latest offerings.

Along with the new H-shaped front grille finished in black, the 2011 Pro_cee'd also gains restyled headlamps and a reworked bumper. It is also possible that Kia may have upgraded the three-door model's interior as well as its engine line-up, but we won't know for sure until we get the official press release in our hands. Until then, follow the break to check out the rest of the pictures.

Sigh... Viral Marketing Tricksters Knock on our Door with a Kia Called Mediocrity

We not sure how Kia's marketing people are going to feel about this one (unless they're part of it...), but photos of an older generation Optima covered in beige cladding and featuring a badge with the word "MEDIOCRITY" have just landed in our mail box. Tony B, the tipster-reader-scooper who sent in the photos, claims he snagged the car in LA.

Of course, it didn't take long to figure out that this is a viral campaign of some sort. However, since we're gearing up for this week's Paris Motor Show, we're not going to waste our time looking for answers about a covered up Kia...

Next-Gen Kia Optima Spotted Undisguised in Korea (The Good One)

Kia's newest Optima (or Magentis/K5, depending on the market), that's set for a New York Auto Show debut at the end of the month, has been caught out on the town, somewhere in Korea. Found on TheCarBlogger (courtesy of the tall, dark and handsome Sanghoon), the site points out that this is likely the base model due to the seriously-undersized wheels. We'll agree.

What remains questionable is the Kia's C-pillar, which is reminiscent of an upside-down Hofmeister kink. Looks like we're going to have to see that in person; otherwise, looking pretty crisp.
