DMC Remembers the Lamborghini Murcielago with New M-GT Package

You can't get a new Lamborghini Murcielago –at least not from the factory- but for those that already own the Aventador's predecessor, German tuner DMC has readied a new performance and styling program.

DMC says it starts by removing the V12 engine from the Italian supercar and performing a series of modifications that include among other things, the addition of 12 unique single intake throttle plates instead of 6, new gasoline pumps and lines, an ECU optimization and a custom exhaust system.

Yes, it's yet another Italian supercar going up in flames on the road. This time the car is a Lamborghini Gallardo and the place is the sovereign Arab state of Kuwait.

As you can see, the fire has already engulfed the Gallardo with not much left to save when the firefighters show up to do their job.

Poor Man's Lamborghini Reventon Filmed Cruising Down the Road…

Unless one of the 20 owners of the real $2 million Lamborghini Reventon had a change of heart regarding the Italian exotic's mid opaque grey color, something we humorously doubt, this is a replica based on an unknown donor car.

Nevertheless, it was special enough for one camera phone equipped by-stander to waste 11 seconds to film it passing by. Feel free to do the same by watching the video right after the jump.

Chrome Gold-Wrapped Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Nabbed by the Cops

We can't say with certainty that this is the first ever Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 to be dressed from top to bottom in a chrome-gold foil wrap, but we can say that it's likely the first of its kind we've seen being pulled over by the cops.

Lamborghini Miami CEO Brett David reportedly unveiled the overly flashy Aventador at a special event in Miami, Florida, over the weekend.

DMC Presents a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 SV-Style Rear Wing for the Gallardo

Not all supercar makers tend to the special requests of customers. Such was the case of a Chinese owner of a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 who approached the Italian automaker in order to fit his car with the rear wing of a Murcielago LP670 SuperVeloce (SV).

Lamborghini denied the request, even though money was reportedly not the problem. The unnamed Chinese owner then approached German tuning firm DMC for a custom solution.

Lamborghini LP 700-4 Aventador Dares 950hp Porsche 911 Turbo by Switzer

With 691-horses (700PS) on tap from its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has a substantial power advantage over any stock Porsche 911 Turbo.

But put Ohio-based Switzer Performance into the picture and then the table turns around with the Porsche sports car gaining the power lead.

When the Sounds of a Lamborghini Murcielago's V12 Piss Off Pedestrians [NSFW]

As strange as it may sound –pun intended- to us gearheads, there are some normal people out there that are not only indifferent about the acoustic properties of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640's screaming V12, but will also throw a fit if someone dares to rev the engine on a public street…

This episode took place on the busy streets of London when a by-stander asked the driver of Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 to rev the V12 engine for the camera.

How Does a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Compare Against a…1930s Ford Model A Rat Rod?

Ever since it came to be, we have seen all sorts of reviews and comparison tests of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, ranging from quarter mile duels against the crème de la crème of supercars like the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport and McLaren MP4-12C to a spectacular speed match on a landing strip with a F16 Falcon jet fighter.

As you can see, publications from all four corners of the world have set the bar pretty high when it comes to testing Lamborghini's finest. All the same, that doesn't mean everything has been done.

So, what would you say about pitting the Aventador against a...1930 Ford Model A Rat Rod to see which of the two vehicles attracts the most attention?

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Challenges an F-16 Fighting Falcon to a Drag Race

Pitting an exotic sports car against a jet fighter to see which one is the fastest on the tarmac, is something that has been done before by - you guessed it, the chaps over at the original Top Gear when they brought together a Bugatti Veyron and the Euro Fighter back in 2007.

Nevertheless, this is a challenge you never get tired of seeing, especially when you have new opponents.

So who is the perpetrator this time? It's Danish auto magazine Bilmagasinet, which wanted to see if the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 could beat an F-16 Fighting Falcon on an airstrip.

Lamborghini Gallardo Driver Hits Curb After Failed Drift Attempt

It may seem that we are targeting Lamborghini Gallardo drivers this week, but this is not the case. After all, we cannot control what you, our readers send in our mailbox…

In a somewhat similar scenario to the Gallardo incident in Chicago, a driver of Lamborghini's entry-level supercar, reportedly in Poznań, Poland (according to the YouTube poster ), exits a parking lot with the intent of playing around with the Italian model's rear end.

And the facepalm of the day goes to the amazing driver of a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo coupe who succeeded in drawing a whole lot of attention to himself while turning on a quiet street in a suburb of Chicago.

After showing the world how well he handles the gas pedal in neutral offering by-passers the opportunity to relish the glorious sounds of the exotic supercar's V10 engine, the green light came on and off he (or she, we can't say for sure) went to display his driving prowess.
