2013 Toyota Auris Hatchback Brochure Scans Leaked?

Earlier today, we told you about Toyota's plans to debut a pre-production concept of the next generation Auris hatchback (also known as the Corolla hatchback in some markets) at the 2012 Paris Motor Show this September.

As it seems, we won't have to wait until the fall to get a glimpse of what the 2013 Auris will look like as images of an alleged brochure for the Japanese domestic-market model have surfaced online.

Patent Scoop: Is Toyota Readying Sports Version of the iQ?

During the world premiere of the new Toyota 86 sports coupe at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, the firm's global President Akio Toyoda made it crystal clear that his company is committed to produce more 'fun-to-drive' cars in the near future.

But don’t take it from us, read what Toyoda said:

"Today it is said that young people have little interest in cars as there are much more interesting things. As an automobile maker, I find this quite frustrating. It is for this reason that we are committed to making cars that will evoke this feeling of 'fun to drive, again' in as many people as possible. This is Toyota's declaration."

While the 86 is the only real sports car in Toyota's current range, we would like to think that Toyoda wouldn't make such a statement without standing behind it, which is why we found these official patent images of a sported up iQ (sold as a Scion in North America) very interesting.

Toyota Readying Some Mild Model Year Changes for Land Cruiser 200 / V8?

The images you see here and which are circulating around the net today, are said to have been sourced from a leaked JDM brochure of the 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser (marketed as the 200 or V8 in certain markets to distinguish it from the smaller Land Cruiser Prado).

While we do, of course, remain somewhat skeptical, they do appear to be genuine. The opening picture shows the Land Cruiser 200 kitted out with original Toyota accessories, but it appears that the headlights and the chrome grille have been tweaked.

New Toyota FT-86 Shots Bring Specifications into the Light

Adding to a long line of leaks these past few days, the specification sheet along with a few more brochure shots of the JDM 2012 Toyota FT-86 made their way onto Japanese forums revealing new details on the firm's rear-wheel drive coupe.

Cutting to the chase, the FT-86 measures 4,240mm (166.9-in.) long, 1,775mm wide (69.9-in.), and 1,285mm (50.6-in.) tall, while riding on a 2,570mm (101.2-in.) long wheelbase.

In its home market of Japan, the FT-86 is powered by a Subaru-sourced 2.0-liter flat-four churning out 200-horses at 7,000 rpm and 205Nm (151.2 lb-ft) of peak torque at 6,600 rpm. It is very likely that the output numbers will remain the same for the global Toyota FT-86 and the North American Scion FR-S.

2012 Toyota FT-86: New Photos Surface Online

When we brought you the first brochure images of the production version of the JDM Toyota FT-86 coupe on Thursday, we rightfully assumed that we should see more pictures of the rear-wheel drive model in the coming weeks before the official presentation at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show on November 30.

Better make that a little over 24 hours as we just discovered yet another collection of scanned images on a Japanese forum, providing us with an even better look at the exterior design of Toyota's mainstream sports car.

While the previous photos showed us a Modellista-prepped version, this time we have the standard FT-86 with or without some optional accessories such as the front panel air vent trims and rear diffuser accents.

New Toyota FT-86 Revealed Through Leaked Japanese Brochure?

It's almost time for the official unveiling of the production version of the Toyota FT-86 rear-wheel drive coupe, which means you should probably brace yourself for a barrage of photos and details over the next few weeks.

The first wave comes through a set of leaked brochure scans that seem to be legit. The FT-86 depicted in these pictures is the Japanese domestic market Modellista version that has been accessorized by Toyota's in-house customization company.

Among other bespoke features that you won't see on the base model is the exterior aero package that comprises of a front spoiler, beefier side skirts and a two-piece rear apron, along with the model-specific alloy wheels.

New Toyota Prius C: Leaked Brochure Reveals Standalone Small Hybrid Hatch

We got our first taste of the next member to join Toyota's growing family of Prius models with the Prius C concept study that made its debut alongside the Prius V minivan at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year.

But today, thanks to a tip from a Carscoop reader in Japan who goes by the nickname "i-Ryuji", we can show you the actual production version of the Prius C through a plethora of scanned images from a leaked brochure.

With a big stretch of imagination, you might see the resemblance between the concept study and the production variant of the Prius C that evolves the design language of the regular Prius liftback.

Our Spies get Up, Close and Personal with the Toyota FT-86 by Gazoo Racing

We are still a couple of months away from the world premiere of the series production Toyota FT-86 at the Tokyo Motor Show in December, but on Saturday, October 15, the rear-wheel drive coupe will make its racing debut at the VLN endurance racing championship on the Nürburgring track.

The race-prepped FT-86 has been developed by Toyota's motorsports partner Gazoo Racing and it is based on the actual production model that goes on sale next year.

After the first crop of pictures that we showed you on Thursday, our crafty spies were able to get very close to the racecar during testing at the pits and on the track, and even shot some photos if the FT-86's interior.

SCOOP: Toyota FT-86 by Gazoo Racing Snagged Testing, will Debut this Saturday on the 'Ring!

In a move that sounds very similar to what Lexus did with the LF-A some two years ago, Toyota and its motorsports partner Gazoo Racing are preparing a specially modified version of the upcoming FT-86 rear-wheel drive coupe that will make its racing debut before the official presentation of the production model at the Tokyo Motor Show in early December.

Our man with the long lens not only caught the FT-86 by Gazoo Racing, but he also told us that it will break cover this Saturday, October 15, at the VLN endurance racing championship at the Nürburgring.

We checked the entries and can confirm that the FT-86 has been officially listed with Masahiko Kagayama and Minoru Takaki taking the driver's seat.

SCOOP: Is this the Toyota FT-86 or the Subaru BRZ?

Our spies dropped these photos shot in Germany into our email box as the Subaru BRZ prototype. After checking out the cool assortment of BMW M3s in the background (the E30 still looks the part, doesn't it…), we went over our previous spy shots of the BRZ's Toyota sibling, the FT-86, and well, it looks the same.

However, we still don't know if the BRZ will share the same body styling as the FT-86 as Subaru has yet to reveal an actual concept of the sports coupe –the Geneva Salon prototype was a see-through concept designed to exhibit the car's mechanical hardware.

2012 Toyota Tacoma Facelift Revealed in Leaked Promotional Clip?

While Toyota may be taking its time to release information on its 2012 portfolio in the United States, pictures and video of its upcoming models are already making the internet rounds. Following the early reveal of the 2012 Camry, the folks over at the PickupTrucks website found an allegedly official promotional video on Vimeo featuring the 2012 Tacoma facelift.

The clip was removed but not before the website took a few shots of Toyota's subtly refreshed pickup truck. If this is indeed the 2012 Tacoma, then the changes on the outside are minimal and mostly concentrated up front with the newly shaped chrome grille and black trim on the bumper.

2012 Toyota Camry: New Leak from Canadian Auto Guide Reveals All

Our French is nothing to brag about, so if you any of you readers could translate and post some of the article's highlights after the break in the comments section, we'd appreciate it.

Is this the JDM 2012 Toyota Camry?

We've seen official teaser shots and unofficial video footage of the next generation of the 2012 Toyota Camry that give us a rough idea of what the North American market version will look like when it arrives in showrooms later this year,

However, the USA and Canada aren’t the only markets expecting the new Camry. So is the Asia Pacific region, albeit in a slightly modified form.

Now, thanks to a forum member of VW Vortex we have what appears to be scans from an unnamed magazine allegedly featuring brochure shots of the Japanese domestic market [JDM] 2012 Toyota Camry.

2012 Toyota Avensis Facelift Snagged Undisguised

At the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Toyota lifted the wraps off the third generation Avensis, which went on sale across Europe in both four-door sedan and station wagon formats in January of 2009.

Even though Toyota's proposal in Europe's highly-competitive mid-size segment has only been in the market for less than three years, the Japanese carmaker has apparently decided to give the Avensis a mid-life facelift to help bolster its position in market.

2012 Toyota Camry Revealed in Leaked Presentation Video?

Last week, we told you about Toyota’s national dealer meeting in Las Vegas where the company briefed its associates on the firm’s current and future plans which include the launch of the all-new 2012 Camry sedan.

It appears though that the Japanese company did a bit more than simply brief its dealers on its plans as a video allegedly showing the presentation of the new Camry has made its way on the internet.

While we can’t be 100 percent sure that what we’re seeing in this amateur footage is the new Camry but given that the color of one of the vehicles depicted in the clip as well as the background seem to match the official video showing Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) President Akio Toyoda standing next to the 2012MY mid-size sedan, we wouldn’t be surprised if it is the real thing.

SPIED: Toyota FT-86 Sports Coupe with New Wing Scooped Alongside the Supra

Now that the international auto show circus has shifted into neutral gear for the summer, Toyota is back at the Nurburgring trying out its upcoming FT-86 rear-wheel drive sports coupe, which is been co-developed with Subaru. The prototype seen in these fresh spy spots appears to be wearing a production bodywork while also featuring a host of aero fittings, the most prominent of which is the jumbo-size rear wing that brings to mind the last Supra.

Talking about the Toyota brand’s last sports coupe with a rear-wheel drive layout, as you can see for yourself in our photo gallery, a mid-90’s example of the Supra was spotted traveling alongside the FT-86 at the Nurburgring. Observing the two cars together, it is not hard to see the resemblance.

Toyota Patents Designs of Sport Version of New Yaris in Europe

Toyota introduced a new generation of the Yaris supermini in Japan (named Vitz for the local market) in December, 2010, and is also planning to showcase a thinly disguised concept of an upcoming hybrid version of the supermini at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be held for the public from March 3 to 13. But as these trademark fillings from Europe prove, the company is also working on a sport variant, most likely as a replacement to the Yaris TS.

The model seen in these patent designs features a full body kit with a new front bumper that replaces the standard Yaris' front grille with openings next to the headlamps while also boasting daytime LED strips, side skirts and profile graphics, a redesigned rear bumper housing a prominent diffuser, and bespoke tail lamps. The new roof spoiler and the multispoke alloy wheels sum up the differences over the regular Yaris.
