Edo Competition Rolls Out 592hp Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate

Once upon a time not too long ago, 400 ponies was an impressive figure for any exotic supercar, but these days, even a standard Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate comes with 451-horses (457PS) kicking under its hood.

Still, even that is not enough for Edo Competition, which is why the German tuning firm has presented a new performance package for Merc's premium station wagon.

Edo Competition Bestows Porsche Panamera Turbo S with 700-horses

We are inclined to disagree with Edo Competition's claims that its new Porsche Panamera Turbo S tune with 700-horsepower is the most powerful version of the saloon ever as a quick look at our archive proves otherwise; the tuner itself had presented a 750HP version of the car called "Moby Dick" back in January 2011…

That's not to say the Edo Competition's Panamera Turbo S isn't fast. On the contrary, thanks to a series of modifications ncluding new exhaust manifolds and turbochargers, high-flow catalytic converters and air filters plus an ECU tweak, the V8 gains 150HP and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) of torque for a total of 700 horsepower and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft).

Canadian who Drove Ferrari Enzo into the Atlantic Says he's "Gonna do Bigger, Better Next Time"

You may not recall Zahir Rana’s name, but you will surely remember his bright yellow, Edo-prepped Ferrari Enzo taking a dive into the Atlantic last September, since the incident was recorded and subsequently posted on YouTube where it made quite a splash.

Now, if you can afford to buy an Enzo, customize it to the tune of 860-horses and compete in a race with it, then the US$100,000 tab for repairing the damages sustained during this unscheduled plunge into the water may seem like small change.

Edo Competition Turns the Porsche Panamera S into the "HellBoy"

You may remember that Edo Competition's most recent Porsche Panamera model was the 750HP Turbo-based "Moby Dick". Now, the German tuning house has set its eyes on the less powerful Panamera S with the presentation of a new model called "HellBoy"(talk about an odd choice of names...).

Described by Edo Competition as coming "straight from hell", the Panamera S HellBoy has been updated in the both the styling and performance divisions.

The tuning firms starts out with the Porsche's 4.8-liter V8 engine by adding a less restrictive custom sport exhaust system and recalibrating the ECU. As a result, output rises from 400HP and 500Nm to 465HP and 550Nm (406 lb-ft), which enables the sports saloon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 305 km/h (190mph).

Video: Watch a Modded Ferrari Enzo Take a Dip into the Atlantic Ocean

Between 2002 and 2004, Ferrari built a limited run of approximately 400 Enzo supercars. Understandably, being such an extremely rare car, when an Enzo bites the dust, or rather in this case, the sea, the news makes headlines.

This particular accident involved a 2003 Ferrari Enzo tuned by Edo Competition that was driven by Calgary car dealer Zahir Rana at the Targa Newfoundland Rally in Canada.

At some point during the race, Rana lost control of the Italian supercar after hitting a hard bump on the gravel sending it straight into the ocean…

Edo Competition’s Menacing BMW M5 Touring Dark Edition

Germany-based Edo Competition is more widely known for its exotic supercar transformations but this time, the tuning house set its eyes on one of the most practical high-performance vehicles in the market, the BMW M5 Touring.

Called the M5 Dark Edition, the modified BMW wagon sports a tuned version of the 5.0-liter V10 that has been upgraded with a recalibrated ECU, high-flow air filters and catalytic converters as well as a newly developed high-performance exhaust system.

Edo Competition’s 722HP Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Black Arrow

The impressive SLS AMG ‘Gullwing’ may have long replaced the venerable SLR McLaren in the Mercedes-Benz’s ranks, but the tuning world is not about let go of the Stuttgart firm’s previous supercar. Edo Competition has revealed a new take on the SLR McLaren called the Black Arrow.

Edo Karabegovic and his team over at Edo Competition started out with the SLR McLaren’s body, which gains a stealthy looking flat black coating and an overdose of red livery combined with new black colored 21-inch alloy wheels with a red ring that are shod in high-performance sport tires. There’s also new exhaust tailpipes and carbon trim.

Edo Competition Outdoes Itself with 227mph – 365 km/h Lamborghini Murcielago LP750

Edo Competition’s previous Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-tune was a 710HP monster capable of reaching a top speed of 352 km/h or 219 mph, which apparently made it the fastest and most powerful Murcielago in the world. Now, the German tuner has gone one step further by introducing a 750HP variant that continues on to a maximum velocity of 365 km/h (227 mph).

Edo Competition Turns Porsche Panamera Turbo into a 750HP Beast Named...Moby Dick

We can think of quite a few reasons why Edo Competition chose to name its latest creation after the imaginary white whale in Herman Melville's classic 1851 novel, Moby Dick, but we'll let you, our readers, humor us with your answers in the comments section after the break. Back to the German Tuner's Moby Dick on wheels, the white Panamera benefits from a hefty power boost as well as modifications to the exterior and interior.

Edo Competition Transforms Aston Martin DB9 to DBS for Russian Client

Reason says that if you're wealthy enough to buy an Aston Martin DB9 and for whatever reason you want to upgrade to a DBS, you either replace the first one or simply add the second model to your collection. But that wasn't the case with an unnamed Russian owner of a five-year-old DB9 who approached Edo Competition to turn his car into a DBS.

The German tuning house agreed and after six months of work, the DB9 had been transformed into a DBS... replica. The conversion involved replacing the car's steel body panels with lightweight carbon fiber pieces, and adding new 20 inch wheels and numerous aerodynamic parts, such as a carbon fiber front skirt and rear diffuser.

The DB9's interior was also refinished. Edo Competition says that the choice of materials and colors was left to the customer, who, in this case, went for an Alcantara/leather interior with carbon fiber inserts and metal accents. A new high-end audio-system completes the interior makeover.

edo competition's 550HP Take on the Aston Martin DBS

Apparently edo competition doesn't think 517 horsepower is enough to propel Aston Martin's DBS around. "Not quite enough," as they put it. To remedy the situation, edo did a number on the ECU and breathing situation.

For people new to the tuning concept, that means new air filters, high-flow catalytic converters, and a new remote controlled exhaust system. Result: 550 horsepower and 600 Nm / 442 lb-ft of torque (+30 Nm / 22 lb-ft).

"This is enough power to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph)." I'll bet it is.
