Look at this 60-Something-Year Old Woman Go on the Drag Strip!

A slightly tuned 2009 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG with 475-horses completing the quarter mile in 11.7 seconds is nothing to get excited about, but seeing it done by a 60-something-year old woman with grandma-style glasses is something that's defiantly worth your attention.

Meet drag racer extraordinaire Kathy Countiss who has been doing the sport since she was a teenager and does not intend to stop any time soon.

New Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition is for Japan Only

Not that Mercedes-Benz is having a problem selling every C63 AMG that rolls out of the factory, but the Stuttgart-based premium carmaker wanted to treat Japanese buyers to a limited edition version specially customized for the domestic market.

In contrast to most special edition models these days that rely on added amenities at the best to stand out, the new C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition has actually been modified inside and out as well as under the hood.

Spied: First Shots of 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Interior

After capturing photos of the cabin of the next S-Class W222, our spy shooters have managed to nab the first interior shots of another upcoming Mercedes-Benz model, the 2014 C-Class.

The first thing you will probably notice on the dashboard is the tablet like fixture hovering on top of the newly styled circular air vents. Unless Mercedes-Benz has a surprise in store for us, we suspect that the high-resolution display will be fixed on the dash, as is the case with the new A- and B-Class models.

The menus on the screen will be operated using the controller in the center console, right behind the manual or automatic gear shifter. A secondary TFT color display is built into the dashboard between the instrument cluster gauges.

The test car seen here was fitted with a large panoramic roof, which some reports say may be offered with the Magic-Sky Control option, which utilizes electro chromatic glass technology to turn the windowpane from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button.

VÄTH Tunes…Factory Tuned Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Edition to 746-Horses

Last summer, Mercedes-Benz launched a Black Series Edition of its C63 AMG Coupe featuring a more hardcore chassis setup and an uprated 6.2-liter V8 producing 510hp (517PS) to target those that were not impressed by the 451hp (457PS) "standard" model.

As it seems, VÄTH was not impressed with Mercedes-Benz's proposal either as the aftermarket tuner has developed a new performance package for the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Edition called V63 Supercharged.

Edo Competition Rolls Out 592hp Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate

Once upon a time not too long ago, 400 ponies was an impressive figure for any exotic supercar, but these days, even a standard Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate comes with 451-horses (457PS) kicking under its hood.

Still, even that is not enough for Edo Competition, which is why the German tuning firm has presented a new performance package for Merc's premium station wagon.

Mercedes-Benz Shows us the Darker Side of the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series

The most potent member of the C-Class Coupe family, the C63 AMG Black Series Edition, is the star of a new online video from Mercedes-Benz USA titled, for obvious reasons, the "Dark Side".

The short black and white spot shows the 510-horsepower (517PS) two-door model forcefully sliding around corners and at times, grunting its big 6.2-liter V8 powerplant (though not as near as much as we would have liked).

Journalists Crash Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG into SLS AMG During Test Drive

As a rule of thumb, the more powerful the car you are testing and which you do not own, the more careful you should be on the road.

Apparently, that wasn't the case with two Chinese journalists that were trying out Mercedes-Benz's sportiest models during the ‘SLS AMG Track Xperience’ event at the Zhuhai International Circuit.

According to a report from The Tycho, the accident occurred when the driver of a red SLS AMG coupe slammed on the brakes and the journalist behind him in a gunmetal gray C63 AMG sedan was either not paying attention or was too close to do anything about it and crashed into him.

None of the drivers were hurt but as you can see from these photos, both cars suffered extensive damages.

Brabus Bullit Coupe 800 is a Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe with a V12 on Steroids

The Smart Fortwo-based Ultimate 120 that we told you about in our previous post may be a special treat but the…800-pound gorilla at Brabus' 2012 Geneva Motor Show stand will no doubt be the Bullit Coupe 800.

With this limited production model, Brabus promises to offer supercar-shredding levels of performance under the guise of a C63 AMG Coupe. Of course, nothing comes for free and the Bullit Coupe 800 commands a supercar price - €378,000 or US$507,000 to be precise.

Brabus engineers started by replacing the regular C63 AMG Coupe's 6.3-liter V8 engine that develops 451hp and 600Nm with the same 6.3-liter twin-turbocharged V12 found under the hood of the limited run Brabus E V12 special, which in turn borrowed the engine from the S600.

Numerous alterations were made to the powerplant itself as well as the body of the C-Class model in order to fit the V12 in the engine bay. The highly modified 12-cylinder unit churns out an amazing 800PS (788hp) at 5,500rpm and a tire-shredding peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft), which is electronically limited to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

David Coulthard Presents the 2012 DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé Racer

Where do Formula 1 drivers go when they retire? Well, some like Eddie Irvine can relax in a very nice place, invest their millions in other businesses and enjoy life. They can also become drivers’ managers, like Keke Rosberg, team owners, like Jackie Stewart, or make a comeback, like Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen.

Another option is to continue racing in another series. The German Touring Car Championship, or DTM, has become quite attractive lately, with the likes of Ralf Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard competing in the series.

SPY SHOTS: 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan Begins Testing

What we have here are the first scoop pictures of the next generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan caught while undergoing preliminary tests in Europe. The C-Class is a very important model for the German automaker as it's one of Mercedes' top sellers worldwide.

Parent company Daimler has already revealed that the new iteration will arrive in the market in 2014 and that for the first time ever, it will be built on North American soil at its Tuscaloosa plant in Alabama. Currently, the C-Class is manufactured at Mercedes plants in Germany, China and South Africa.

These first photos of the 2014 model suggest that the new C-Class will get sportier proportions with a shorter tail and front overhangs, and a swoopier roofline. Like the new A-Class, Mercedes-Benz's BMW 3-Series rival will adopt many styling cues from the F800 study showcased at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

Mercedes-Benz and Nissan Join Forces to Build 4-Cylinder Engines in the USA

Back in April of 2010, Daimler, Mercedes-Benz's parent company, and the Renault-Nissan Alliance announced a broad strategic cooperation in which the two companies exchanged a 3.1 percent stake with each other and made plans to collaborate on several projects.

The partnership seems to be going well as the two automakers announced plans to produce Mercedes-Benz 4-cylinder gasoline engines together at Nissan's powertrain assembly plant in Decherd, Tennessee. Production of the four-bangers will commence in 2014 with an initial annual capacity of 250,000 units.

New Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Flexes its Muscles on the Laguna Seca Circuit

The sinister beast that is the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is the kind of car that is arguably best enjoyed in its natural habitat, which is none other than the racetrack.

To prove this, the German firm took the most powerful production version of its C-Class Coupe to the Laguna Seca circuit in California for some quick laps and shared the video with us.

SCOOP: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate gets in the Black Series Mood

You'd think that 457-ponies under the hood of any family car let alone a station wagon would be enough to get any enthusiast excited, but Mercedes-Benz believes otherwise and has ordered its AMG division to prepare a Black Series edition of the C63 AMG Estate.

Behind that mismatched front bumper are the same hardware upgrades found on the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, and which include a modified 6.2-liter V8 engine pushing out 517HP and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of peak torque, an increase of 60HP and 20Nm over the regular model.
